Completing your Tailgate Party
Well we did it, for our tailgate party we started off with what a tailgate party is, the planning needed for a tailgate party and the best part, having a tailgate party. Today we are going to finish this series of completing the tailgate party. Don’t worry we will be adding updates and more tailgating articles.
Go To The Game or Tailgate Party ?
A lot of people that go to sporting events and enjoy tailgating just stay in the parking lot and don’t go to the game. From what I have seen it appears that about 20% of the people do this. Those folks just keep partying and either listened tot he radio in the old days but now days we have these cheap LG and Vizio portable LCD screens and watch the game from the parking lot. There are also lots of different games to play and it is a great time to relax under the tent, watch the game and not bother with the crowds. My take on this, Tailgating, Schmelgating, if I am tailgating somewhere and OU is playing,I am going into the stadium. Period. I’ll party down after the game is over.
Tailgate Party Over ?
It really helps when someone in your group stays with the vehicle and tent. When the game is over and you get back to your spot your buddies will have more food and beverages ready for your consumption. It’s always nice to get back to your tailgating spot and spend about 45 minutes or an hour letting some of the traffic clear out. Also use this time to completely clean up all your trash and throwaway items. If you don’t I guarantee someone will let you know about it and you could get a citation. Don’t ruin your day, CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF.
When you decide to leave the parking take one more look around for anything you may brought with you. Check for your purses, coolers, utensils, the grill, tent, pennants and flags. All those tailgate party accessories cost to much to leave behind. Also please check that you have cleaned the place up.
It is important that you are in good shape to drive on the way home, if not let someone else drive. Take your time on the drive home and enjoy yourself. Since our drive to most of the places we tailgate at are about 3 or 4 hours away we always end up stopping somewhere for the evening meal. This is a great time to rest up and talk about what went on during the day.
