Charcoal Grilling Accessories are a must and some of them are very cool. My favorite grilling and barbeque accessory is a Light and Fan combo. It really is the ‘schnizzle’ of charcoal grilling lights. If you don’t like to grill in the dark then get yourself a charcoal grilling light. With this light you are not restricted to what type of charcoal grill you can use it on. The large chrome plated clamp is strong and study. This clamp opens about 1 and 1/2 inches. It attaches very easily and stays in place with two rubber grippers on the inside of the clamp. As mentioned above you can clamp this lamp to any make and model of any charcoal grill you own now or will own in the future. I attribute this to the very handy spring clamp that is used to attach this unit to your grill or barbecue.

A great feature of this light is the flexible coil adjustable arm. The adjustable arm is 18″ long that gives many adjustable positions. This light and fan combination has another super feature. Both the fan and light swivel independently giving you great versatility in how you set this light up.

This grilling fan and light combo is efficient and operates on 4 “C” cell batteries. The batteries usually last me a full season. The light puts out a large footprint to cover 2/3rds of the grilling space on my large Char-Broil Grill and will completely light up a Weber Kettle grill. I mainly use the fan to keep the smoke of grilling out of the way and it does a very good job of that.

To wrap it up I think the most important things you need to look for in a charcoal or barbecue light is the way it mounts to your grill, the amount of light it produces and being battery operated. A heavy duty spring loaded clamp is best. The light should illuminate at least half of our grilling surface, and the light should be battery operated.

What’s the negative on this grilling light and fan combo? It’s not weather proof and they are not available anymore. With that said there are many other charcoal grilling lights available. Be sure to look through our site and find the one that is right for you.
